Our Disability Support service is a male-to-male service for people with disability and people experiencing mental health issues.
We offer a range of personalised support services so that participants can reach their goals in a safe and supportive environment. Our Mentors and Case Workers are trained to meet the needs of the individual, with an emphasis on building trusting and supportive relationships so that participants can build confidence and reach their full potential.
Supports include daily living assistance, such as preparing meals, cleaning, basic personal care, appointments, and community access so that participants can pursue their interests and hobbies and experience a better connection to the community. Supports can also include respite services for carers so they can take a break to take care of daily living chores and errands, or simply restore energy and reduce stress.
By accessing our service, participants can experience increased independence and capacity, improved health, confidence, wellbeing, daily living and social connection, and experience a more fulfilling and balanced life.
HYPAR acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as Australia’s First Nation, and the traditional owners and ongoing custodians of the land and waters upon which we are situated. We ensure people from a variety of cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds are supported to work and participate in our services in a safe, inclusive and appropriate manner in which to maintain their cultural identity, customs and beliefs.
HYPAR respects people from all walks of life. We ensure to prevent harassment or discrimination of any kind and welcomes all people irrespective of their gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, race, faith and spirituality, relationship status and lifestyle choices.
