HYPAR Mentors can work with you towards your goals, such as finding a job or getting more involved in community activities.

If you would like us to, but the only people who require this information would be your guardians (if under 18 years of age) or your Supports Coordinator.

You can use your NDIS funds to pay for our service.

To get started, all you need to do is give us a call or send us a message via our contact form. If you would find it easier your Supports Coordinator can contact us on your behalf.

A Mentor is someone who you can trust to help you with the day-to-day challenges of life. Lots of people have informal mentors in their life, whether it be a teacher from school, a sports coach, an uncle, or a trusted friend. HYPAR Mentors are just another option and can provide you with supportive relationships to help you reach your goals.

Of course! We want to make sure you are happy with the Mentor you are placed with and will work to find someone that best suits your needs, age and interests.

Yes. All our Mentors are male, we are a male-to-male service.

Yes. Mentors are there to help you achieve any day-to-day tasks that will assist you in your daily life.

Yes. HYPAR Mentors actively strive to engage with you in the community and help you explore your interests.

Almost anything! You may decide that you want support to go to the shops or the movies, or in pursuing other interests like fishing, biking, sports, and accessing social clubs, these are all activities we can assist with.

If you have a thirst for adventure, head to our adventure therapy service HYPAR WILD, where we provide outdoor adventure activities for NDIS participants. Activities include kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, abseiling, mountain biking, bushwalking and camping.

Yes. If you would like Mentors to help you in achieving your studies, they can. You might need assistance in accessing your classes or help navigating the administration hurdles thrown your way, HYPAR Mentors can help.

Yes. HYPAR Mentors can help you type up a resume, dress for an interview, and even help you find a field or job that best suits your skills and interests.

Yes. If you need help accessing accommodation services or securing a rental, HYPAR Mentors are there. Our Mentors can provide support and assistance with all of these tasks.

HYPAR provides a male-to-male service only at this time, but we can refer you to suitable services based on your requirements.

Parents & Care Givers FAQs

HYPAR has a range of tailored supports available to meet the needs of each participant. We currently operate across three core service areas, Mentoring, Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Disability Support.

Here at HYPAR, we strive to provide tailored support solutions for participants and their Parents/ Guardians. Under the Mentoring model, we work with our participants to achieve positive behavioural changes and help to develop life skills to set them up for success. Most importantly, we are not just support workers! Our Mentors are carefully picked and have a wealth of experience to provide constructive and effective support to participants and their Parents/ Guardian.

We currently support ages 6–30 years. Participants who fall outside of that age range will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Brisbane and the Greater Brisbane region, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

As long as the participant requires support, we can help. We work with the participant to achieve their goals. Once those are achieved, we can set new ones or scale down supports.

We work around the clock and can provide mentors to fit the participants schedule, from early mornings to getting ready for school or work, through to late evening supports.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is Australia’s first national Scheme for people with disability. It provides funding directly to individuals, offering choice and control over how, when, and where their supports are provided.

HYPAR is a registered NDIS provider, meaning NDIS participants can utilise their plans and funds to access our services.

All prices for our services are in-line with NDIS pricing. Categories are client dependent and it’s best to contact us to determine how we can best support.

We assess clients individually to determine if we can support them in their area and with their schedule. It’s best to contact us to discuss in more detail.
